Two Georgia Women https://krimsonpac.org/two-georgia-women/ Fri, 27 Sep 2024 21:09:30 +0000 https://krimsonpac.org/?p=19344 Presidential candidate Kamala Harris spoke recently of the tragic deaths of two young women from Georgia, Candi Miller and Amber Nicole Thurman. Their deaths could have been prevented, but their medical care was hindered by Georgia's six-week abortion ban. Denial of life saving care as a result of abortion laws strikes a nerve – it's a clear example of government sanctioned malfeasance that this nation has not seen since the Tuskegee Experiment.

Two Georgia Women

Presidential candidate Kamala Harris spoke recently of the tragic deaths of two young women from Georgia, Amber Nicole Thurman (left) and Candi Miller. Their deaths could have been prevented, but their medical care was hindered by Georgia’s six-week abortion ban. You can read the in-depth reporting by Pro Publica here.

Women, who want to live, suffering and dying because they are denied life saving care as a result of abortion laws would be an example of government sanctioned malfeasance that this nation has not seen since the Tuskegee Experiment.

In response, Krimson Political Action Council believes:

  • Each human being is the sole and exclusive owner of their body.
  • No politician, no judge, no law should contradict the fundamental principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness which is the foundation of freedom in the United States of America.
  • The draconian laws in the state of Georgia that deny a woman’s sole and exclusive right to control her own body discouraged physicians and medical staff from doing what they are called to do, provide care for vulnerable, sick, and suffering human beings. This is why Ms. Amber Thurman and Mrs. Candi Miller died.
