Billy is a real estate professional and community leader passionate about building black political power, financial literacy, affordable housing, and real estate investing.
Mr. Fields has enjoyed a long career in banking and finance, taking on managerial and executive roles ranging from investor relations, default servicing, lobbying, mortgage origination, and emerging markets. He has worked for many of the nation’s biggest firms including Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase & Co., First Horizon, Citi Bank, Bank of America, Retreat Capital Management, Standard Charter Bank, Countrywide Home Loans, and Lomas Mortgage USA.
His passion is affordable housing and real estate investing, helping to open up the American dream to African Americans, Hispanics, LGBTQ+, Asians and new immigrants. Mr. Fields has appeared on radio and television promoting financial literacy through home buying while raising the social, economic and political awareness of his listening audience.
Mr. Fields is a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Frisco Alumni. Mr. Fields has served as Vice Polemarch, Fundraising Committee, Government and Public Affairs, Historian, Kappa League. He’s a member of Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity and a Prince Hall Mason-Pride of the South Lodge #324.
Mr. Fields has served on boards for Richardson Plano Alumni, Grand Chapter Choir, Hope’s Door, the African American Museum in Fair Park and the Home Builders Association in Plano, Texas.
A popular keynote speaker, Mr. Fields has appeared before many local community churches, business colleges and business organizations, public and private schools in the DFW metroplex. In addition, Mr. Fields has received outstanding service and production awards in the mortgage banking community as well as recognition as a Home Town Hero by Clarice Tinsley of the DFW Fox News affiliate.
Mr. Fields received a B.S. degree in organizational management from Paul Quinn College, Lean Six Sigma Certification from Villanova University, and is a graduate of Metrocrest Leadership.
